"I Never Met a Slingshot I Didn't Like"

Once again as I continue to "test" slingshots, I am having a great time. I am pleased with the performance of these slingshots and think you should give them all a try. If you haven't got several slingshots and 1 or 2 from each company, you are missing a very pleasant experience and a chance to find your "perfect" slingshot.

The first slingshot to report on is the Crosman Copperhead Powerstorm
( http://www.crosman.com ). The Powerstorm has several interesting,
innovative, and helpful features. One of the neatest features is the quick band hook-up that allows you to change bands without any special equipment or waiting for them to dry. The blue colored bands are tapered and have a strong draw weight. The handle is molded blue plastic with a molded black foam grip. The slingshot comes with an exclusive slot feeder that clips to the folding wrist brace or hangs from your belt.

It took only a few shots before I was able to hit my usual target. The tapered bands deliver more velocity and power. I see this slingshot as another one that would be great for punching holes in soda pop cans when playing "Kill the Can".

When I received the package from Trumark (story in Special Christmas issue), I was able to test the Trumark FSX-2000 ( http://www.slingshots.com ). I had been looking forward to trying it out since I had shot the FSX-FO. This model has the fiber-optics sight, folding arm brace, ammo storage handle, and stabilizer. It is a great shooting slingshot and the stabilizer adds enough weight to help you hold your arm steady. This improves your form, aiming, and release. The stabilizer is removeable from the slingshot which makes it easier to pack. I also took the opportunity to shoot some of Trumark's Tracer marbles. When using the Tracer marbles it is possible to watch the marble in flite and adjust your aim accordingly to where you are shooting and hitting. The FSX-2000 is a slingshot that I was able to hit the target after a few warm up shots. You can't go wrong with this slingshot.
